Compound Exercises

Any exercise that works multiple muscle groups through multiple joint actions.

For example; the bench press which works the chest, shoulders and triceps and requires movement at both the shoulder and elbow joint.

Examples include;

  • Bench Press - Dumbell, Barbell, Incline or Flat

  • Dips

  • Squats - Front, Back & Goblet

  • Lunges

  • Shoulder Press - Dumbell, Barbell, Seated or Standing

  • Chin Ups & Pull Ups

  • Rows - Bent Over, Single Arm or Inverted

  • And more
